Esplendor: Sin Disculpas is a limited collaboration vinyl album created jointly by Domino Records and Yaaj—a LGBTQ+ non-profit based in Mexico. The visuals of the album were inspired by ancient Mayan hieroglyphs as a nod to the world that homosexuality has been tied to humanity since our ancestors walked the same places we tread upon. The song selection was carefully selected to encompass a diverse set of queer experiences and feelings, featuring songs with overt queer messages, such as Eres Tu by Carla Morrison, to more interpretive songs, Simplemente Amigos by Ana Gabriel.
